You weren't at the marina in Berkeley by chance, were you? I was able to get some nice Snowy Egret and Black-crowned Night-Heron closeups there last year...right near the live bait station.
No, was at Loch Lomand Marina in San Rafael near bait shop there across the bay from Berkeley. I got also got closeups of a Black-crowned Night Heron and a Great Blue Heron. Also a pair of Black Oystercatchers that I see once in awhile at low tide. Will share more later.
